Development control guidelines for Auroville city centre 2000

The City Centre is proposed to have the Peace Area with the Matrimandir, the banyan tree, the amphitheatre, the lake and the gardens and a part of each of the four zones of Auroville viz: residential, cultural, international & industrial.There is another special use zone called the ‘Crown’ which traverses the city centre area in a circular manner, which will provide most of the different service facilities required in the specific zone. The document gives brief guidelines for development in this zone.
